For the next few hours, not next month

More spontaneous moments with your friends

Say where you are and how long you're there. Someone comes by, or nobody does.

TestFlight, first group this autumn. Amsterdam and Groningen first. This only works if the people near you are on it too.

How it works

Memories in three.. two.. one..

01 Create a moment

I'll be at Toki in 20 minutes.

Where you are, from when, until when. That's the whole form. No invitation, no reply expected.

From 16:20 Until 17:20

02 Someone comes by

Bram's coming.

Or nobody does. You were going anyway, so it costs you nothing to be the one who asked.

10 min 2 coming

03 It ends

This one's over.

The moment ends on time and leaves nothing behind. No count of who saw it and stayed home.

Ended 17:46

The idea

You're already somewhere. That's the whole app.

No categories. No deciding what kind of evening it is before you've had it. A moment is a place and a time. I'm at Toki until half four, and someone comes by, or nobody does.

The one rule

Nothing starts more than an hour from now.

Now +20+40+60 Next Thursday

Starts now · ends today

There is no date picker and no next Thursday at eight. A moment starts when you make it and ends the same day. If it can't happen now, Unplanned can't help you, and that is the entire point of it.

What it isn't

Most of the work went into what we left out.

No feed Nothing to scroll. Open the app, see who's out, close the app, go outside.
No likes, no followers There are no numbers under your name, so there is nothing to be bad at.
No strangers Your own contacts, in circles you choose per moment. Nobody discovers you.
No record of being ignored A moment nobody came to leaves no trace at all. That's a design decision, not an oversight.

“We should grab coffee sometime.” You won't.

Somebody has to go first.

iPhone only for now. We'll email you once, when there's something to open.
